Forma DJR Expansion
When HP+ wanted Forma DJR to speak to the world, I managed the global effort to make it happen — expanding DJR's typeface to four new writing systems (Arabic, Greek, Hebrew, and Thai) commissioned by Wieden + Kennedy. The result: 5 weights across 5 optical sizes, brought to life by an extraordinary team of designers. Huge thanks to Khajag Apelian, Wael Morcos, Victoria Rushton, Aleksandra Samuļenkova, Liron Lavi Turkenich, and Knaz Uiyamathiti of Cadson Demak.
Beyond the expansion, I also helped manage Forma's matching with Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, a Hong Kong regional variant, Japanese, and Korean retail typefaces — with Petr van Blokland, Just van Rossum, and the teams at Arphic, Hanyi, Morisawa, and Sandoll doing the heavy lifting.
All of this happened during the peak of the pandemic. Oh, and I had a baby.
